Abstract

A combustion engine includes a boost air cooling system used in a double-boost generator, a first turbocharger that compresses charge air in a first compressor stage, a second turbocharger that further compresses the air compressed in the first turbocharger and feeds the further compressed air to the combustion engine, and a boost air cooler arranged between the first turbocharger and the second turbocharger. The boost air cooler is configured to cool the air compressed by the first turbocharger. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle possessing the combustion engine.
