Abstract

The invention refers to a combustor ignition system (40) which includes an igniter assembly (42) adapted for installation at least partially inside a combustor (10). A first ignition lead (46) is electrically connected to the igniter assembly (42) and includes a terminal end (62) remote from the igniter assembly (42). A second ignition lead (48) is electrically connected to the first ignition lead (46). The combustor ignition system (40) further includes means for releasably connecting the first and second ignition leads (46, 48).
