[0017] The drive of the differential gear 18 enables the transmission of the drive torque generated by the electric motor 12 to half shafts 20 a , 20 b connected to the wheels of the motor vehicle (not shown). The electric motor 12 has a rotor connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a hollow shaft 22 . The hollow shaft 22 is connected to a slip clutch 24 which is arranged functionally between the electric motor 12 and the gear unit 14 . The slip clutch 24 is designed as a multi-disc clutch and comprises outer disks 26 a and inner disks 26 b arranged alternately forming a disk pack. The disc springs 28 press the diaphragms 26a, 26b against each other with a predefined force in order to provide a well-defined coupling between the hollow shaft 22 coaxially surrounding the half shaft 20b and the input shaft 30 of the reduction gear 14 .
