Abstract

Disclosed are self-cooled moulding steel moulds for casting steel ingots. Interlayer mould walls are employed; inner walls of inner layer mould walls (N) are high temperature resistant casting mould chambers (M); outer layer mould walls (Y) are provided with upper pipe orifices (G1) and lower pipe orifices (G2); the upper pipe orifices (G1) and the lower pipe orifices (G2) are connected with infusion pipes (L); sealing is performed between the inner layer mould walls (N) and the outer layer mould walls (Y) to form into cooling cabins (Q); and moulding steel moulds (3) are matched with steel mould bases (2), a casting base layer (1) and a casting machine (5) to use. Heated cooling fluid (S) is input into the cooling cabins (Q) before casting; liquid steel is injected into the casting machine (5) through a casting ladle (7), passes through a casting channel (U) of the casting base layer (1) and enters into the moulding steel moulds (3) through channel openings (H) and base sprues (T) of the steel mould bases (2); the liquid steel is cooled to 80 to 90 DEG C in the moulding steel moulds (3); the cooling fluid (S) is stopped inputting; the cooling fluid (S) in the cooling cabins (Q) is discharged; and a crane lifts the moulding steel moulds (3) away to deal with cast steel ingots.
