Embodiment Construction

[0018] figure 1 The photovoltaic device shown is schematically subdivided into four parts: a photovoltaic generator 10 , an inverter arrangement 20 , an intermediate voltage part 30 and a part 40 for linking with the photovoltaic device.

[0019] The part 40 for linking with the electricity supply network is once included in the photovoltaic installation. Other parts 10, 20 and 30 have a plurality of independent branches respectively, in figure 1 The example in is three branches, each with the same design. exist figure 1 In , the components of the individual branches a, b, c are distinguished from each other by the suffixes a, b, c appended to the respective reference numbers of the components. When a reference number without a suffix is used as such in the following, it refers jointly to all corresponding components or components for which no further details are specified, in which case the relation to one of the branches is immaterial. The number of three branches in t...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operation of a photovoltaic installation for feeding electrical power into a medium-voltage power supply grid (41), with the photovoltaic installation having a multiplicity of photovoltaic modules (11), at least one inverter (21) and at least one medium-voltage transformer (31), and with the primary side of the medium-voltage transformer (31) being connected directly to an alternating-current (AC) low-voltage output (24) of the inverter (21), and at least one direct-current (DC) switching member (12) being arranged between the photovoltaic modules (11) and a DC input (22) of the inverter (21). The method is distinguished in that when the electrical power produced by the photovoltaic modules (11) in the photovoltaic installation is not sufficient for feeding electrical power into the supply grid (41), the photovoltaic modules (11) are disconnected from an inverter (21) on the DC voltage side while, in contrast, the inverter (21) remains connected to the medium-voltage power supply grid (41) on the AC voltage side by the medium-voltage transformer (31). The invention also relates to a photovoltaic installation which is designed to carry out the method.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for operating a photovoltaic installation having a plurality of photovoltaic modules, at least one inverter and at least one intermediate voltage transformer for feeding electrical power into an intermediate voltage power supply network. The invention also relates to a photovoltaic device designed to carry out the method. Background technique [0002] In the case of relatively large photovoltaic installations, in certain open field plants, also called solar farms, the electricity generated is generally fed directly into an intermediate voltage power supply network, for example a 20 kilovolt (kV) power supply network . Such open field plants typically have a plurality of photovoltaic modules, several of which are connected in series to form a so-called string. Several strings are often connected together in order to supply the power generated by them in the form of direct current to one of possibly several inverters p...
