Abstract

The invention provides a key, and a keyboard which comprises a plurality of keys. The key comprises a key shell, an electrostatic generator element which is arranged below the key shell and can produce electric energy by utilizing a contact electrification effect, and a key sensing element, wherein the position of the key shell corresponds to that of the key sensing element; and when the key shell is pressed, an electric signal is produced by the electrostatic generator element while a key signal is produced by the sensing element. The key and the keyboard provided by the invention have the advantage that the mechanical energy produced when the key shell is pressed is converted to electric energy on the premise that normal operation of the key is not influenced.
