The invention provides an axial-flow fan comprising a frame, an impeller and a motor. The frame is provided with a frame body, a base and a plurality of connectors, wherein the base is arranged at the center of one side of the frame body, and the connectors are respectively connected with the frame body and the base. The impeller is disposed in the frame body, arranged on the base and provided with a rotating shaft, a hub and a plurality of blades circularly arranged on the periphery of the hub. The motor is arranged on the base and is connected with the rotating shaft to drive the impeller to rotate. When the impeller rotates forwards, the impeller drives an air flow to sequentially flow through the connectors and the blades, and then is exhausted out of the other side of the base from the frame body. When the impeller rotates reversely, the impeller drives the air flow to flow into the other side of the base from the frame body, flows through the blades and the connectors sequentially, and then is exhausted. The axial-flow fan is adaptable to forward rotation and reverse rotation. The invention further provides a control method of the axial-flow fan.
