Abstract

The invention relates to an LED (light-emitting diode) display screen safe playing method and a video controller. The method comprises the steps: transmitting a first verification code to a communication interface of the video controller, wherein the first verification code comprises information of feature codes which uniquely identify a playing device; transmitting an image data stream which carries a second verification code to a video interface of the video controller by using the playing device, wherein the second verification code comprises the information of the feature codes which uniquely identify the playing device; analyzing the second verification code carried by the image data stream by using the video controller, and judging whether the second verification code is matched with the first verification code which is obtained from the communication interface, wherein if the second verification code is matched with the first verification code, image data in the image data stream is transmitted to an LED display screen for being displayed by using the video controller. With the adoption of the safe playing method and the video controller disclosed by the invention, image data which are played with an unbound playing device which is used by an illegal user can be correctly recognized and can be intercepted and treated, illegal video images cannot be displayed on the LED display screen, and the safe playing performance of the LED display screen is enhanced.
