Abstract

The gasket assembly comprises a workpiece-bearing inner gasket and a workpiece outer gasket sleeved on the workpiece-bearing inner gasket. A distance is formed between the workpiece-bearing inner gasket and the workpiece outer gasket. The workpiece-bearing inner gasket contacts with a gear hub on the workpiece-bearing inner gasket. A gap is formed between the workpiece outer gasket and an external spline end surface of the gear hub. The invention also provides a method which utilizes the gasket assembly for material filling and is used for heat treatment on the filled gear hub. The gear hub is arranged on the gasket assembly and the gear hub filled in the gasket assembly is fed into a carburization continuous production line and then is subjected to heat treatment. The method guarantees uniformity of an integral carburization layer and good quality of a metallographic structure, effectively reduces deflection of a small workpiece subjected to carburizing and quenching, and improves a finished product precision of the workpiece by curing heat treatment parameters.
