The evaluation method comprise the following steps: calculating a substance risk value M, a production process risk value P, a risk value E of equipment and facilities and an enterprise management risk value G by using a hazardous substance risk degree evaluation function, a production process risk degree evaluation function, an equipment and facility risk degree evaluation function and an enterprise management risk level evaluation function respectively; substituting the values M, P, E and G into an environmental risk source total risk grading evaluation function to calculate so as to obtain a risk level value I of the environmental risk source. According to the method, quantitative calculation for evaluation of the environmental risk source of the manufacturing industry is realized, the evaluation is normalized and scientific, and the evaluation result is reliable.
