Abstract

Disclosed herein is a stent which is inserted into a blood vessel of a patient who has to undergo hemodialysis. The stent includes a wire frame which has a hollow cylindrical structure, and a window which is formed in a partial portion of a circumferential surface of the wire frame. The window has no wire therein. According to one aspect of the invention, the stent may further comprise a graft which covers the stent. Such a structure allows puncturing using a needle and inserting the needle into the window of the stent inside the blood vessel of the patient who has to periodically undergo hemodialysis, so as to makes it possible for hemodialysis to be reliably conducted for the patient who receives the treatment of inserting the covered stent due to arterial aneurysm. In this way, the present invention can solve problems not only of deformation of the covered stent which occurs when a hemodialysis needle is inserted into the stent, but also of patient discomfort when having skin punctured, high cost, thrombopoiesis, a risk of recurrence, etc.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a stent with a window and an artificial blood vessel. Background technique [0002] For patients with end-stage renal failure receiving hemodialysis, maintaining the function of the arteriovenous fistula is very critical, and it can be said to be related to important matters of life. However, there is no arteriovenous fistula that is used for life after instrumental surgery, with various long-term complications. Among them, pseudo or true aneurysmal changes not only have an impact on cosmetic aspects, but also cause serious problems in blood flow. Moreover, aneurysmal changes may cause massive hemorrhage due to rupture, thus becoming a life-threatening hidden danger. Therefore, the above-mentioned aneurysmal changes must be treated, and the treatment methods include surgical treatment and endovascular stent graft insertion as a minimally invasive procedure. [0003] However, even with a stent-graft inserted, patients with re...
