Abstract

The invention discloses an activation technology for producing activated carbon fibers. The activation technology comprises the following steps: feeding a proper amount of vapor into an activation furnace, and heating to 200-450 DEG C to obtain superheated vapor; continuously introducing nitrogen into two ends of the activation furnace with the superheated vapor under the pressure of not less than 0.2Mpa; continuously putting carbonized bodies into the activation furnace with the superheated vapor and nitrogen mixed gas, performing activation under a condition of 350 DEG C for 1-2 hours, cooling and taking out the carbonized bodies to obtain activated carbon fiber felts and cloth. By virtue of the activation technology, the problems in the prior art are solved; therefore, the carbon yield and the carbon fiber intensity are improved, the technical steps are simplified, and the using amount of protection gas is reduced, so that the specific surface area of a product is enlarged, and the carbon content is increased.
