Abstract

The invention relates to a frame synchronization method for multiple channels of real-time videos. The method comprises contents of a server and a client. Synchronization information is added into an original video streaming at the server and the process comprises the following steps: (1) extracting video frames from the input video streaming; (2) calibrating arrival time of a frame from each camera by using streaming media server time as the standard; (3) according to the time calibrated in the step (2), calculating a frame synchronization sequence number and using the frame synchronization sequence number as synchronization information of the frames; (4) adding the synchronization information into the video frames. Synchronization processing at the client mainly comprises the following steps: (1) receiving and decoding each channel of video data from the server and extracting the synchronization information; (2) placing the decoded frames into corresponding queues of each channel of video to buffer; (3) checking the queue of each channel of video at a certain time interval by a timer and carrying out playing according to the synchronization information. The method can effectively carry out frame synchronization processing on multiple channels of videos, so that a receiving end can carry out synchronous playing according to the synchronization information.
