Abstract

An autonomous charging device and autonomous charging method of a mobile robot relates to the technical field of a robot, and is to solve the technical problems of reducing cost, and improving universality and reliability. The partner base is provided with left and right two groups of infrared receivers. The robot judges the located signal region through the two groups of infrared receivers, and finds the specific position of the charging base through the signal intensity between the received infrared butting signals emitted by the two infrared emitters, thereby realizing automatic butting of the charging base.
