Abstract

The objective of the present invention is to achieve a storage device access system capable not only of effectively utilizing the storage capacity of a storage device, but of increasing write / read speed. This storage device access system (100) includes: an address search unit (10) which retains, for a plurality of frequently appearing data units, an address and a data index value which has been assigned to each address, and which acquires the address of a write or read data unit in order to search for the retained address using the acquired address; a frequently appearing data retaining unit (20) which retains a tag which has been associated with each of the plurality of frequently appearing data units and data index values, acquires the data index value for when the acquired address from the address search unit (10) matches the retained address in order to identify the frequently appearing data unit corresponding to the tag that has been associated with the acquired data index value; a data comparison unit (30) which acquires the frequently appearing data unit from the frequently appearing data retaining unit (20) so as to compare the same with the write data unit in order to identify the frequently appearing data unit that has matched the write data unit; and a compression / decompression unit (40) which acquires and compresses the write data unit and the frequently appearing data unit from the data comparison unit (30) and acquires and decompresses the read data unit from the storage device.
