A method for massively breeding crays in severe-cold water of a highland includes steps of building a pond comprising a central deep water area and a peripheral shallow water area which are in transition through a hardened zone slope; putting up a mud ridge at the center of the deep water area in length not contacting with the inner wall of the pond; additionally arranging a plurality of water inlet pipes on a small reservoir of the pond; keeping the depth of the deep water area in 2-2.5 meters in winder and 1.2-1.5 meters in summer; breeding crays outside; feeding and casting; performing daily management and water quality management; fishing. By modifying the pond structure to guarantee that the crays smoothly overwinter and injecting warm water into the pond in the early and late winter so as to increase water temperature and prolong growth length of food organisms, fatting and survival rate of juvenile crays reaches more than 80% in the severe cold regions of the highland, and yield per mu reaches more than 700 kilograms.
