The reference frequency setting method comprises the steps of utilizing a first signal transmission path to read set codes including first set information from a memory module or a storage unit, and storing the set codes in a register circuit; detecting whether data of specific frequency are input; if the data of specific frequency are not input, reading the set codes stored in the register circuit so as to enable an oscillating circuit module to generate a first reference frequency according to the first set information of the set codes; if the data of specific frequency are input, utilizing a second signal transmission path to update the set codes stored in the register circuit, and reading the set codes which are stored in the register circuit and have been updated so as to enable the oscillating circuit module to generate a second reference frequency according to second set information; and enabling the set codes having been updated to comprise the second set information.
