Abstract

A double-headed piston type swash plate compressor, comprising: a rotating shaft, a driving force transmission member, an inclineable swash plate, a movable body for changing the inclination angle of the swash plate, and a pressure control valve defined by the movable body and the driving force transmission member. The chamber, the movable body and the driving force transmission member are arranged on one side with respect to the swash plate in the axial direction of the rotation shaft. The movable body includes a bottom through which the rotation shaft extends, and a cylinder extending from the bottom in an axial direction of the rotation shaft to surround the rotation shaft. The cylindrical portion is allowed to move in the axial direction while sliding along a part of the driving force transmission member, so that the inclination angle of the swash plate is changed according to the internal pressure of the pressure control chamber.
