This coaxial contrarotating R / C helicopter is equipped with a swash plate comprising a lower plate, mounted to move around the rotary axis of a mast in a direction to intersect the rotary axis by a geared motor, and an upper plate which is mounted on the central opening part of the lower plate through a bearing and is connected with the lower plate through a blade holder and a control arm slantingly connected to the mast. The rotational surfaces of the lower blades is tilted by the control arm in conjunction with the movement of the swash plate in the direction to intersect the rotary axis of the mast. As a result, a moving direction of the aircraft is controlled. The flight posture of the aircraft is controlled by interlocking rotations made by an upper rotor head and a stabilizer. (C)2004,JPO.

Variable displacement compressor

A variable displacement compressor including a drive shaft through which a gas passage extends between front and rear ends of the drive shaft. The gas passage is connected to a suction chamber at the rear end of the drive shaft. The drive shaft includes a first gas inlet passage, which connects the gas passage to a crank chamber through a lip seal, an oil chamber, and a thrust bearing, and a second gas inlet passage, which connects the gas passage to a central portion of the crank chamber. The drive shaft further includes a sleeve movable along the drive shaft as a swash plate inclines to adjust an open amount of the second gas inlet passage in accordance with the inclination angle of the swash plate, that is, the displacement of the compressor.

A friction stir welding apparatus of a piston for variable capacity swash plate type compressor bonds two pistons through frictions stir welding without forming a hole in welded portions of the piston members. The friction stir welding apparatus includes: A support that rotatably supports coaxially coupled first and second pistons. A welder, rotatably inserted into welded portions of the first and second pistons supported on the support, performs friction stir welding along the rotation direction of the first and second pistons. Support rollers elastically mounted on the lower portions of the pistons have central axis lines of the piston members on central axis lines of the rotation support while the pistons are supported on the support. The rollers vertically move through a predetermined height while supporting the pistons. The welder is transferred from the welded portions to another position after welding of the welded portions.
