The method comprises the following steps: traversing all applications in the application database of a Windows system; specific to each traversed application, accessing a directory named by using the identity of the application in the installation directory of the Windows system through a file access interface function; if an access result is an abnormal result which indicates non-authorization, confirming that the application is installed in the Windows system; if the access result is an abnormal result which indicates that a file does not exist, confirming that the application is not installed in the Windows system, wherein the Windows system is a Windows Phone system or a Windows RT system.
