Problems solved by technology

[0004] Although woody plants are rich in resources, there are two important difficulties in developing woody plants into animal feed. Many woody plants contain anti-nutritional factors and toxins. It has been confirmed that 17 species of Quercus can cause Poisoning of livestock, but whether the yellow beam wood can be used as feed has not been reported

Embodiment 1

[0023] S1. Collect fresh yellow beam wood branches and leaves, dry the fresh yellow beam wood branches and leaves naturally until the water content is below 10%; crush them into yellow beam wood leaf powder with a particle size of about 30 mesh;

[0024] S2. The yellow beam leaf powder is formulated feed according to Table 1.

Statistical analysis and then adjustments ensure that the differences between groups are not significant. Each treatment has 5 repetitions. Repea...

Embodiment 2

[0035] In the feed of dairy cows (black-and-white flowers), 30-100% of the yellow beam leaf powder replaced alfalfa, and the milk yield did not change significantly. The preparation method of yellow beam leaf powder refers to Example 1.

Embodiment 3

[0037] In the feed of beef cattle (Simmental), 30~100% replacement of alfalfa with yellow beam leaf powder has no significant change in growth energy. The preparation method of yellow beam leaf powder refers to Example 1.

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of livestock breeding, and specifically discloses a novel application of anthocephalus chinensis as a feed. Anthocephalus chinensis comprises approximately 17% of crude protein, which is equivalent to that of alfalfa. According to the invention, as a result of researches, no negative influence is caused to animal production and slaughter performances if a certain proportion of anthocephalus chinensis leaf instead of alfalfa powder is added into a feed. Therefore, anthocephalus chinensis can be used as a novel feed resource for replacing alfalfa. Therefore, the lack of plant protein forage of our nation can be relieved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to the new application of yellow beam wood as feed. More particularly, it relates to the use of twigs and leaves as fodder. Background technique [0002] Lack of feed is the main limiting factor for the development of animal husbandry in my country. my country's per capita arable land is small, and it is difficult for the planting industry to provide enough feed grain. Although the grassland area is large, due to geographical and climatic conditions, the suitable time for grazing is short, and the average stocking rate is low. For a long time, blind land reclamation and overloading and overgrazing have resulted in the continuous destruction of grassland resources, and the contradiction between grassland and livestock is very acute. my country currently needs to import a large amount of feed grain and pasture land. The import of alfalfa alone has reached 750,000 tons in 13 years, wh...
