The method comprises the following steps: step I, establishing a database in which test data of a water chilling unit rack is stored; step II, establishing a BP (base-pairs) neural network model based on grey predicating, and training a model by utilizing test data in the database; step III, after establishing the BP neural network model based on grey predicating, inputting detected parameters of the water chilling unit to obtain discharge pressure faults of the water chilling unit and a corresponding solution. The method can be used for simultaneously detecting a problem that the discharge pressure is excessively large and small while multiple parameters are detected, the multiple parameters and the discharge pressure can be detected together, and a relationship of the parameters is determined by the BP neural network model based on grey predicating, so that the discharge pressure fault detecting accuracy is guaranteed, and a problem that the fault detection is neglected due to the discharge pressure in the water chilling unit in the prior art is solved.
