Abstract

Disclosed is a coating capable of preventing secondary recrystallization annealing edge cracking of oriented silicon steel. The coating is composed of, by weight, 40.3% to 81.4% of magnesium oxide, 14.7% to 49.1% of boric acid, smaller than 28.7% of an addition agent and deionized water, wherein the weight of the deionized water accounts for 50% to 200% of the total weight of the raw materials. According to the coating, the edge cracking occurrence rate of an oriented silicon steel product is reduced by more than 96%; and due to the fact that the rejection rate caused by edge cutting is at least reduced by 5.8%, the yield and the production efficiency of the product are improved.
