In addition, the invention also discloses a detection method of the dual-probe-rod submarine cable detection system. The detection method includes steps of submarine cable position detection, submarine cable moving direction detection, and submarine cable burial depth detection. The provided system with the dual-probe-rod structure is capable of carrying out submarine cable detection; the functions are clear; the structure is simple; the operation is convenient; and the position, moving direction and burial depth of the submarine cable can be detected correctly and effectively.
