A handheld identity verification apparatus, an identity verification method and an identity verification system are provided. The handheld identity verification apparatus captures a face image sequence and an eye image sequence of a user for comparing whether the face image sequence matches a preset face image characteristic and whether the eye image sequence matches a preset eye image characteristic. The handheld identity verification apparatus provides a user interface to execute a password verifying procedure.
