Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for the production-line assembly of a connector comprising at least two pivoting contact pins, each pin comprising a terminal the end of which is flattened and pierced with a hole accommodating a tapped insert able to accept a clamping screw, each tapped insert forming a shoulder on said flattened end. The device comprises a flat base made of electrically insulating material supporting means of attachment to each pin, these means being arranged in such a way that the flattened end of the terminal of said pin bears against the flat base to prevent said pin from rotating, the ends of the clamping screws and the shoulders formed by the tapped inserts being accommodated in the orifices pierced in the flat base. The device also comprises at least one partition made of electrically insulating material and positioned in such a way that the pins cannot be brought into contact via the clamping screw or by a tool for tightening said screw when the flattened ends of the terminals thereof bear against the flat base. The partition comprises means for limiting the height of the stack of contactors to a predetermined height.
