A reusable shell casing having a housing with exterior grooves having a substantially central bore with a tapered end capable of receiving a payload and an opposite threaded end adapted to receive a novel reusable high pressure chamber assembly containing a removable powder chamber, a burst disk, and a threaded insert. The chamber assembly has a central bore having an upper bore portion that is cylindrically shaped having a threaded surface adapted to secure to the threaded portion of a threaded insert. An adjustable chair seat with a locking mechanism is disclosed. The chair includes a seat pan, a seat plate and a torque limiting fastener. The seat pan and seat plate have openings for receiving the fastener which comprises a cup handle and a threaded insert. The threaded insert is engaged with the seat pan through an opening in the seat pan while the seat plate is sandwiched between the seat pan and the fastener. Once engagement is made, the fastener cannot be disengaged; and once a predetermined resistance is reached the cup handle slips relative to the threaded insert so as to cease the application of torque to the threaded insert.

A mixing assembly includes a coupler with a temporary seal that is connected to a first container containing mix ingredients. An internally and externally threaded insert is threadedly mated with the internally threaded coupler in an initial position short of breaching the temporary seal. A second container is screwed into the internally threaded insert. Sealing relationships are formed between the coupler and the insert, and between the insert and the received second container. A turbocharger has a shaft formed of a strong material such as steel and an impeller formed of a relatively weaker material such as aluminum alloy. The present invention provides a non-threaded insert operable to transfer or couple a mechanical load to a structure. This non-threaded insert includes an upper insert having a noncircular cross section and a lower insert. The coupled upper and lower insert are received within the structure and are operable to receive a mechanical load which is then distributed to the structure. The noncircular cross section of the upper insert is received within a noncircular receptacle wherein rotation of the upper insert within the receptacle is inhibited by mating the noncircular cross section of the upper insert within the noncircular receptacle. This allows mechanical loads to be distributed to be better coupled to materials such as composite materials wherein traditional thread fasteners would intensify mechanical stresses within the coupled threads.

A rooftop equipment support includes a polymer material block and a metal fastener support attached to an upper portion of the block. The fastener support has a fastener portion that is configured to receive one or more fasteners for securing piping or other equipment. According to one embodiment, folded-down lips of the metal fastener portion form a channel configured to accept one or more fasteners, such as pipe clamps. In another embodiment, the metal fastener portion is a plate having one or more threaded inserts. The threaded inserts may be located between a sheet metal part of the fastener portion and a top surface of the polymer material block. The polymer material block may be made of a polyurethane foam material. The metal fastener portion may cover at least part of the edges of a top surface of the polymer material block.

Provided is an imaging device having a stand connector that can assume an open position for allowing connection with a stand or tripod and a closed position when not coupled with the stand. The stand connector of the imaging device includes a connector body including a hollow cavity and a female screw capable of coupling with a corresponding male screw of the stand, an insert received in the cavity of the connector body and moveable between an open position allowing coupling of the stand by screwing the screws of the connector body and the stand and a closed position substantially covering an open end of the cavity in the connector body when not coupling with the stand, and biasing means configured to bias the insert to the closed position.
