The invention relates to a high-tension transmission line monitoring method on the basis of wireless communication and photo-communication for overcoming the faults of limited functions, small band width, high running cost and low reliability in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps: 1. setting wireless monitoring nodes on the transmission line towers; selecting a particular tower along the line at an interval of 20-30 kilometers as a convergent point tower and simultaneously installing wireless monitoring nodes and photo-communication nodes on the convergent point tower and transforming plants on the two ends of the line; 2. the wireless monitoring nodes acquiring monitoring data, the wireless monitoring nodes of the towers in the area where the convergent point tower locates transmit the monitoring data to the photo-communication nodes on the convergent point tower by using a multi-hop forwarding method, each photo-communication node transmits the monitoring data to a monitoring center by using a multi-hop forwarding method. According to the invention, information monitored by thousands of sensors installed on towers of each level can be transmitted back to a junction centre for realizing the real-time monitoring of the whole high-tension transmission line.

The invention discloses a method for detecting the safe power-line-cruising distance of a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), which comprises the following steps of: (1) carrying out analysis according to the characteristics of electromagnetic fields of to-be-detected high-tension transmission lines in different voltage levels, and establishing corresponding electromagnetic-field simulation calculation models; (2) determining the maximum errors of electronic devices (which are susceptible to electromagnetic interference) carried by the power-line-cruising UAV and measuring devices used in the process of route planning making before routing inspection; (3) according to the requirements of the determined electronic devices on electromagnetic fields in the process of normal operating, by using the electromagnetic-field simulation calculation models of the high-tension transmission lines in different voltage levels and electromagnetic-field simulation calculation software, calculating the similarities and differences of an electromagnetic environment when the UAV has different distances away from a transmission conductor in the process of carrying out line-cruising operation on each high-tension transmission line, thereby determining the range of the safe distance between the UAV and the transmission conductor; and (4) carrying out line-cruising by the UAV according to the determined safe distance of each to-be-detected transmission line, thereby avoiding the situations that the devices run disorderly, the flight communication is interfered, a flight mission is failed, and the like caused by the electromagnetic field of the transmission conductor, and then ensuring the safety, stability and reliability of a flight.

Valve actuator and method

A subsea actuator and method is disclosed that includes all moving components mounted in a compact, concentric configuration. The subsea actuator is highly reliable and will operate at depth even with zero valve body cavity pressure. A preferably cup-shaped spring pusher is provided in telescoping relationship to the hydraulic chamber. A piston position indicator is provided which is connected externally to the hydraulic piston cylinder to avoid the possibility of hydraulic leaks due to the piston indicator. A manual override may be provided with a manual override indicator. The manual override indicator has a shorter travel length than the manual override operating stem to thereby reduce the overall length of the manual override assembly. The driving stem provides a removable connection to the hydraulic piston from the top of the actuator housing and a quick disconnect permits disconnection of the driving stem from the valve stem. In a preferred embodiment, upper and lower t-slot connections are utilized in the driving stem assembly. In a preferred embodiment, two back seat valves are removably secured to the driving stem to engage respective seats and provide additional sealing around the driving stem so as to prevent leakage between the valve chamber and actuator housing chamber. The high tension spring does not need to be removed to perform maintenance, and all wear items and seals are readily accessible. Change or replacement of the stem packing is made from the top of the bonnet to avoid dissasembling the bonnet to valve body connection. Pre-load bolts are used to adjustably preload the tension in the return spring. The height/weight of the actuator is significantly reduced as compared to prior art subsea valve actuators.

Apparatus and method for inspecting areas surrounding nuclear boiling water reactor core and annulus regions

A remotely controlled apparatus (112) for inspecting the core (102) and annulus (104) areas of nuclear boiling water reactors (100) includes a circumferential drive mechanism for propelling the apparatus (112) on the steam dam (108) of the reactor (100). The inspection apparatus (112) uses a set of driver rollers (314) that grip the side of the steam dam (108) and provide propulsion for the apparatus. A pinch-roller assembly with high-tension springs (308) and pneumatic air cylinders (310) is utilized for removably securing a set of pinch rollers (312) to the side of the steam dam opposite the side of the driver rollers (314). A set of rollers (304) are adapted to rest on top of the steam dam (108), supporting the weight of the apparatus (112) and enabling the apparatus to move around the steam dam (108). Two positioning guide rails (306) aid in the balance of the apparatus (112), especially when it is stationary. The apparatus (112) has a watertight main body (202), which houses the electrical control wiring and circuitry. The main body (202) has a front camera (204) and a rear camera (205) used to direct the movements of the apparatus (112). The main body also has two turret-type telescoping mast assemblies (208) with telescoping masts 210 and 212, which are capable of extending at a selected distance above and below the main body (202). The mast assemblies 210 and 212 support inspection equipment such as radiation-shielded EVT-1-capable video cameras and radiation-tolerant fiberscopes. The apparatus (112) and its inspection tools are remotely controlled via control consoles with video monitors from a low-dose, non-contaminated enclosure located remotely from a boiling water reactor.

The invention relates to a distributed single-phase earth fault ranging system that is used for realizing ranging of a fault on a high tension transmission line between two transformer substations. The system comprises: at least two sets of fault current detection device sets, which are installed at preset test points of a high tension transmission line; a remote wireless communication module; and a remote monitoring master station. The remote monitoring master station is respectively connected with the fault current detection device sets by the remote wireless communication module as well as receives fault currents collected by the fault current detection device sets by the remote wireless communication module; and the remote monitoring master station carries out comparison and an analysis according to positional data of the preset test points and length data of the high tension transmission line, so that a final fault position is obtained. In addition, a ranging method of the distributed single-phase earth fault ranging system is also provided. Power frequency fault current information and fault current travelling wave energy information are utilized to determine fault intervals; and different positioning equations are selected according to different fault intervals as well as fault point positions are determined; therefore, a dead zone problem can be solved, wherein the problem occurs when there are faults at a head and an end of a line, that is, when a fault point approaches a bus.

Overvoltage protection method of high-voltage direct current system

The invention discloses an overvoltage protection method of a high-voltage direct current system. Once a high-tension battery is disconnected with the high-voltage direct current system, a motor controller is in a passive feedback mode and monitors voltage of a high-voltage direct current network in real time. Once the voltage of the high-voltage direct current network is larger than or equal to the maximum allowing voltage, the motor controller is in an initiative short circuit mode. At the same time, at least one auxiliary discharge device is opened. Once the voltage of the high-voltage direct current network is less than the maximum allowing voltage, the motor controller is in the passive feedback mode. Once the voltage of the high-voltage direct current network is less than or equal to the minimum allowing voltage, all auxiliary discharge devices are closed. Under the condition of breakdown of disconnection of the high-tension battery, the existing motor controller is only provided with a safe mode. The overvoltage protection method of the high-voltage direct current system divides the safe mode into the passive feedback mode and the initiative short circuit mode assisting with an auxiliary discharge mode of the high-voltage direct current system, and thereby the overvoltage protection method of the high-voltage direct current system has the advantages of effectively solving the problem of overhigh voltage of the high-voltage direct current network of a new energy automobile and reducing risk of equipment trouble.
