Abstract

The defects of alignment film printing shifting, edge unevenness and film thickness unevenness areas can be avoided completely, and then the image quality characteristic of a liquid crystal display device is improved. The manufacturing method for the display substrate comprises the steps that alignment film coating is carried out in all areas of a substrate; the roll printing process is carried out on the substrate having subjected to alignment film coating; an exposure method is adopted for exposing an alignment film of the display area on the substrate; the stripping process is adopted for stripping alignment films, except the alignment film on the display area, of the substrate; the alignment film is formed in the display area on the substrate.
