Abstract

The invention provides an integrated automotive diagnostic instrument and a diagnosing method thereof, wherein the integrated automotive diagnostic instrument comprises a PC, an electric control unit, a diagnosis adapter and a diagnosis server. The integrated automotive diagnostic instrument has advantages of relatively high versatility and relatively low cost. Furthermore diagnosis efficiency and diagnosis accuracy of maintenance service personnel are improved. The diagnosing method comprises the steps of a first step, connecting the PC with an electric control unit and establishing communication connection between the PC and the electric control unit, and simultaneously initializing the diagnosis adapter; a second step, selecting a diagnosing function; a third function, performing function testing; and a fourth step, displaying a diagnosing result. The integrated automotive diagnostic instrument and the diagnosing method have advantages of realizing function integration and greatly improving versatility of diagnosing software.
