Abstract

An underwater acoustic beacon comprises a housing which is internally equipped with a circuit board, a transducer and a battery. The circuit board is equipped with a water-entry detection circuit module, a single-chip microcomputer module and a power amplification module. The water-entry detection circuit module is connected with the single-chip microcomputer module and the power amplification module. The single-chip microcomputer module is connected with the power amplification module and the transducer. The single-chip microcomputer module generates required frequency, pulse width and periodical signals via an inner timer. The periodical signals go through the power amplification module and an impedance matching circuit of the transducer and then drive the transducer to transmit acoustic signals. The underwater acoustic beacon has zero power consumption before entering water and can efficiently work after entering water.
