The heart rate measuring method comprises steps of acquiring a heart rate measuring image matrix of a user via a fingerprint identifying module; acquiring a heart rate measuring parameter value according to the heart rate measuring image matrix; and determining the heart rate of the user according to the heart rate measuring parameter. In this way, in the case that additional terminal hardware cost and user consumption cost are not additionally increased, precise measurement of the heart rate of the user can be achieved by fully using the existed fingerprint identifying module of the terminal, so functions of the fingerprint identifying module and of the terminal are expanded and practicability of the fingerprint identifying module is improved, thereby improving user experience.
