The method includes: receiving an access request from an NFS client; determining the network group which the client belongs to according to the client host name, client user name or client domain name; referencing the preset corresponding relationship of the network group and access authority, and searching for the access authority corresponding to the network group which the client belongs to; judging whether the access request is legal or not according to the searched access authority; if so, controlling the NFS client to access target files; or else, displaying a prompt message indicating that a user has no authority to access the target files. The access control method has the advantages that when an administrator configures the access authority of one network group, the access authority of all the members in the network group is configured in batch, the work load of the administrator is reduced, work efficiency is increased, and the setting manners of an authority management function is enriched.
