The invention discloses a method for online positioning a broken pipe of an urban water supply network based on SCADA data and a real-time model. The method comprises the following steps of: firstly, detecting a pressure wave trough to determine the suspected pipe breaking time boundary and checking measurement points; then selecting measurement points with remarkable abnormality change in the measurement points according to the flow abnormality change of the measurement points after each pipe breakage happens; designating a rectangular region to serve as an initial region for searching pipe breaking points by a real-time optimizing and checking model according to locations of the measurement points; and finally iteratively solving a minimum value by taking the sum between the pressure simulation value and actual valve of a pressure measurement point in continuous cycle as the evaluation standard of a target function so as to acquire the most probable pipe breaking node pipe breaking flow. The method can be used for quickly detecting and positioning pipe breaking and other abnormal incidents with high accuracy, and reducing hurt of pipe breaking for the water supply network system.
