Abstract

The invention provides an external rotor type fan structure which comprises a stator set, an external rotor set, a front-side shielding plate and an impeller. The stator set comprises a stator core and a plurality of coils. The external rotor set correspondingly sleeves the stator set. The external rotor set comprises a plurality of magnets and a rotor cover, wherein the magnets are arranged in a manner of being corresponding with the coils. The front-side shielding plate is a metal plate and is arranged between the stator set and the external rotor set and correspondingly shields the coils. The impeller comprises a plurality of blades which are driven by the rotor cover to rotate. Therefore, a shielding effect is performed on the external rotor type fan, and furthermore normal operation of the fan is sustained.
