Abstract

The invention relates to a Slepian-Wolf technology based video encryption-decryption method and an encryption-decryption system thereof, and overcomes the defects that an encryption-decryption technology in the prior art is low in efficiency, high in algorithm complexity and unsafe in network transmission. The method comprises the steps of video encryption in which a video is decomposed to generate a Mipmap chain, the Mipmap chain is compiled in a Slepian-Wolf method of maximal posterior probability, and an encrypted image sequence is obtained; and video decryption in which the encrypted image sequence is decrypted in the Slepian-Wolf method of the maximal posterior probability to obtain a decrypted image sequence, and a continued fraction type interpolation method is used to reconstruct the video. The system and method improve the safety of video images, and are suitable for processing different types of videos, and the compression efficiency is higher than methods in which the whole videos are compressed.
