Abstract

A combined cycle combustion control type three-cylinder engine comprising: a cylinder block; and cylinders, the cylinders being arranged in a row in the cylinder block and constituted by a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and a third cylinder so that the first cylinder, Four-cycle combustion is performed in two of the second cylinder and the third cylinder and two-cycle combustion is performed in the remaining cylinders. A crankshaft is disposed in the first, second, and third pistons and converts reciprocating motion of the respective first, second, and third cylinders into rotational motion.
