Embodiment

[0113] In order to verify the effect of the present invention, the crossing behavior of pedestrians at two crosswalks in Changchun City's Hongqi Street during the peak period was photographed at high altitude, and the temporal and spatial information of pedestrians was extracted using video extraction technology to complete the following experiments.

[0114] The survey obtained 4 hours of non-working days and 6 hours of working days, a total of 138 signal periods, of which non-working days and working days accounted for 35% and 65% respectively. The geometric characteristics of the survey locations are shown in the table below.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for determining the pedestrian crosswalk width under signal control, which is aimed at overcoming the problem that the existing pedestrian crosswalk width setting method does not consider the influence of the bi-directional pedestrian flow on the pedestrian horizontal space. The method comprises the following steps that 1, pixel coordinates (x, y) in a pedestrian crossing image and coordinates (v, w) in a rectangular plane coordinate system are converted; 2, the relation between the single side maximum width of the pedestrian crosswalk and the pedestrian sharing rate in each direction is calculated; 3, the maximum widths at two sides of the pedestrian crosstalk are determined and subjected to rounding and optimization: (1) the bi-directional maximum width of the pedestrian crosstalk is determined, (2) the bi-directional maximum width of the pedestrian crosstalk is subjected to rounding and optimization, wherein according to the concrete bi-directional pedestrian sharing rate and the pedestrian flow at the pedestrian crosstalk, the maximum of the maximum width values of all pedestrian ranges obtained by calculation is subjected to upward rounding as the final width of the pedestrian crosswalk, and in the formula Wmax=max{int(W1)+1, int(W2)+1, ... , int(Wk)+1, ... , int(Wn)+1}, Wmax is the maximum width values of the two sides of the pedestrian crosstalk after rounding and optimization, and the unit is m.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for specifying the width of a pedestrian crossing in the technical field of traffic engineering design, more precisely, the invention relates to a method for determining the width of a pedestrian crossing under signal control. Background technique [0002] As an important part of urban traffic, walking has stronger freedom compared with other modes of transportation. Therefore, when crowds cross the street, there will be crowd dispersion, which will lead to changes in pedestrian activity areas. Therefore, the study of the spatial distribution characteristics of pedestrian crossings not only provides a basis for the reasonable setting of pedestrian green light time, but also has important theoretical significance for the optimal setting of the width of pedestrian crossings. [0003] At present, scholars at home and abroad have little research on pedestrian crossing activity areas, mainly focusing on directly starting wi...
