Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a network flow control method and device. The method applied to a client comprises the following steps: receiving data packets which are sent by different data packet supply nodes and are specific to the same target stream, wherein each data packet carries a data packet lagrange multiplier which is specific to the target stream, to which the data packet belongs, and corresponds to the data packet supply node which sends the data packet; extracting the data packet lagrange multipliers from the received data packets; according to all the extracted data packet lagrange multipliers, calculating a first sending rate of each data packet supply node for the data packet of the target stream to which the data packet belongs; for each data packet supply node, according to the first sending rate corresponding to the data packet supply node, calculating a second sending rate for sending an interest packet to the data packet supply node; and sending the interest packet to each data packet supply node at the second sending rate, so as to control the network flow. By the implementation of the network flow control method, the network resource utilization rate in an NDN (Named Data Networking) is increased.
