Abstract

Noise-reducing tread blocks for an automobile tire are disclosed. An automobile tire includes a travelling tread with a plurality of tread grooves and a plurality of tread blocks surrounded by the tread grooves distributed. Ribs are contained in space between the surface of any tread block and side wall surfaces of adjacent tread grooves of the tread block. The rib, which has an included angle with a circumferential center line no less than 20 degrees and no more than 90 degrees, is configured to a rounding structure. In the cross-section of the rounding structure, the edge of the rounding is an arc, or a straight line, or a zigzag segment made of more than two straight segments connected in sequence, and the start point and the end point of the arc, or the straight line, or the zigzag segment are located on the surface of a tread block and the side wall surface of a tread groove. According to the tread blocks, the impact noise caused by the edges of tread blocks is reduced, the area of the tread blocks is decreased, and the opening of the tread groove is enlarged. The friction noise of the tread blocks is reduced, and the air flow noise in the tread grooves is reduced.
