The method comprises the steps of firstly selecting a broadcasting station of which the position is already known as an emitting station; then building a receiving station, and obtaining the position of the receiving station, the frequency of a received signal and the pitching angle information of the received signal; then calculating and obtaining the ground great circle distance from the emitting station to the receiving station; finally utilizing a genetic algorithm to conduct inversion to obtain the ionospheric parameter based on the frequency of the received signal, the pitching angle information of the received signal and the ground great circle distance. According to the obtaining method of the ionospheric parameter, since an existing broadcasting station can be utilized as the emitting station based on the condition that the emitting station is not built, the cost in obtaining the ionospheric parameter is therefore reduced. Besides, since the genetic algorithm is utilized to conduct inversion, a search result of the ionospheric parameter is guaranteed to be a global optimum result, and thus the precision of an inversion result is improved, and the accuracy of obtaining the ionospheric parameter is improved.
