Abstract

An electricity meter comprises an estimator device which is used for estimating closing delay and opening delay of a switching element (3). The estimator device comprises the components of a resonance inductance circuit (6) which is provided with a coil (10) that is mounted in a manner of facing a movable contactor (5) of the switching element; a transmitter device which is configured for transmitting a voltage pulse to the inductance circuit; a detector device which is configured for detecting a damping resonant voltage signal (So) from an output portion of the inductance circuit and detects the position of the movable contactor (5) according to the number of resonances, thereby determining actual opening or actual closing of the switching element; and a measuring device for measuring time between an opening command and actual opening detection and time between a closing command and actual closing detection.
