The invention provides a monitoring and early warning method of dammed lake bursting, so that a defect that vibration signals resulted form stone, soil and water motion changes during a dammed lake motion process can not be applied to dammed lake bursting study in the prior art can be overcome. According to the method, an operation center processes an original signal; denoising processing, signal determination and identification of a vibration amplitude index, and successive determination and identification of vibration signals in frequency zones of 1.5Hz to 10Hz, 0Hz to 1.5Hz, and 10Hz to 45Hz based on STFT transformation are carried out; and then whether stone falling, soil mass collapsing and destroying, and dammed lake bursting occur is determined.
