Abstract

The invention discloses a bus operation and passenger travel optimization system composed of a client module and a server module. The information between the client module and the server module is transferred under a HTTP protocol through an internet of vehicles (IOV). The system reconstructs an ordinary electronic bus stop board to a touch-screen electronic bus stop board and achieves passenger OD information acquisition so that a bus scheduling system can schedule buses in real time to improve the efficiency of a bus operation system. An algorithm for calculating the bus passenger capacity is established by using passenger travel information, thereby providing important data support for passenger's travel choices. A criterion for determining whether a bus stops at a platform is provided in order to reduce traffic jam and vehicle harmful gas emission due to the stop of the bus. The system is easy to operate, high in automatic data processing efficiency, can improve a phenomenon that the bus has to stop at each stop at present, is easy to be accepted by the public, and contributes to the system popularization.
