Abstract

According to the present invention, there is provided an artificial chord forming aid capable of forming an artificial chord to a desired length by connecting the cusp of a heart valve and the papillary muscle with an easy-to-operate artificial chord. The auxiliary part (100) of one mode of the present invention is used to connect the cusp (210) of the heart valve and the papillary muscle (212) through the artificial chordae (200), respectively supporting the cusp (210) and the papillary muscle (212). A pair of end support parts (20), (21) are provided at both ends in the longitudinal direction. The auxiliary part (100) has a first chordal insertion opening and a second chordal insertion opening for inserting the artificial chord (200), a chordal guiding part (30), and an appliance gripping part (40). The first chordal insertion opening and the second chordal insertion opening are respectively formed in a pair of end support parts (20), (21) with a diameter larger than that of the artificial chordal tendon (200). The chorda tendon guiding part (30) is formed by extending across the first chordal tendon insertion opening and the second chordal tendon insertion opening along the longitudinal direction.
