The invention discloses a permanent magnet synchronous motor turn-to-turn short circuit fault diagnosis method based on magnetic field distribution monitoring. The method is characterized by, to begin with, in the steady state, carrying out analysis on an equivalent circuit obtained when the permanent magnet synchronous motor has turn-to-turn short circuit fault, and obtaining a series of diagnosis steps; and through the diagnosis steps, judging whether the motor has the turn-to-turn short circuit fault by utilizing a high-frequency component of stator tooth magnetic flux.
