Abstract

The invention discloses a low-complexity decoding algorithm capable of effectively improving performance at an LDPC (low-density parity-check) code error floor. The algorithm mainly comprises an erasure judgment rule and a look-up decoding algorithm used for solving an erased code word, wherein as for the erasure judgment rule, a small part of erasure code words which are most untrusted are selected by comparing posterior probabilities of the code words with preset threshold values; as for the look-up decoding algorithm, the erased code words are solved in a look-up manner by means of the sparseness of an LDPC code check matrix, and the decoding complexity is greatly reduced. The algorithm is used for repeatedly decoding output code words only when the correct code words are not solved with conventional decoding algorithms, however, the probability that the correct code words are not solved with the conventional decoding algorithms is extremely low, and accordingly, the proposed decoding algorithm cannot increase much resource consumption.
