Abstract

The invention relates to a cliff detection circuit and a sweeping robot. The cliff detection circuit comprises a capacitive sensor, an oscillation circuit and a state monitoring circuit. The capacitive sensor is arranged on the bottom portion of the sweeping robot and used for detecting the floor surface and outputting floor surface feedback information; the oscillation circuit is used for outputting an indication signal for feeding back floor surface state according to the floor surface feedback information, wherein the floor surface state is used for indicating whether the capacitive sensor is in a suspended state, the suspended state being a state when the distance between the floor surface and the capacitive sensor exceeds sensing distance of the capacitive sensor; and the state monitoring circuit is used for determining the floor surface state according to the indication signal, and sending a control signal for controlling the sweeping robot to carry out corresponding action. Through the capacitive detection mode, the detection effect is not affected by the ground color, so that judgment accuracy can be improved, and the sweeping robot is better in adaptability to environment.
