Abstract

The invention provides a laser projector which comprises a laser light source, a diffusion plate, a polarizing beam splitter, a quarter-wave plate and a fluorescent pink wheel. The laser light source is used for generating a laser beam which travels along a first optical path. The diffusion plate is arranged on the first optical path to diffuse the laser beam to generate a diffusion beam, and the half-peak half width of the diffusion beam is larger than or equal to 1.5 degrees and is smaller than or equal to 3 degrees. The polarizing beam splitter is used for reflecting the diffusion beam to generate a reflection beam which travels along a second optical path. The quarter-wave plate is arranged on the second optical path and converts the reflection beam into a first circularly polarized beam. The fluorescent pink wheel receives the first circularly polarized beam to generate a second circularly polarized beam and a stimulated light beam with an optical path opposite to the second optical path. The quarter-wave plate also is used for converting the second circularly polarized beam into a P polarized beam, and the polarizing beam splitter allows the penetration of the P polarized beam and the stimulated light beam. By using the laser projector, the probability of a thermal quenching phenomenon of the fluorescent pink wheel is reduced.
