Abstract

The invention discloses a rate self-adaption method based on channel statistical information for real-time WiFi, which comprises the steps that link scheduling adopts a centralized mode, that is, CSMA/CA is turned off, a TDMA mode is adopted, an AP (Access Point) allocates fixed scheduling time for each station, and data transmission of each station is real-time predictable; and then wireless network channel statistical information is acquired in real time, and transmission rate selection is determined according to updating of the statistical information. The former is an estimation mechanism which is used for estimating the channel quality; and the latter is a response mechanism which realizes adaptive adjustment of the rate. Short-term and long-term channel quality changes are controlled through an inquiring mechanism, the transmission history is intelligently monitored in a continuous manner, and a new data rate which may exceeds the current rate is detected. Effective transmission rate adjustment is performed to quickly adapt to the changes. Therefore, the TDMA link scheduling and the channel information statistics based rate self-adaption method optimize the throughput or delay performance on a wireless link.
